We have been involved in the home business market for over 7 years now and have built teams in excess of 10,000 members in some of the opportunities we are involved in.

We are NOT millionaires or marketing gurus, far from it, we are just a couple of ordinary guys that now make a very good living online.

We don’t yet make hundreds of Thousands of Dollars a year but we do very well and most of what we now do is on autopilot.

But a little over 7 years ago we started out like most other people, very little computer experience, our first Home Business Opportunity and plans to conquer the world high on the adrenalin of our dreams.

Just 6 months later we had spent all our budget on buying traffic and gurus courses and systems that promised the earth and the truth is we hadn’t earnt a single dime.

We did better than most lasting 6 months but like many before us we started to question ourselves at this point and also our chosen opportunity and even at times each others abilities.

I have to admit that the temptation was huge to pack it all in and just focus on the 9 to 5 again and let our dreams fade away.

Neither of us had been quitters before and after an intense debate we decided to give it one last go, but were determined not to waste any more money until we actually knew a bit more about what we were doing.

The Way Forward

Shortly after this we managed (through some extensive detective work) to obtain the contact details of the top guy in our chosen opportunity who was making a six figure yearly income and by all accounts playing golf most days of the week! We eventually pinned him down for a half hour chat one afternoon to find out how and why he had achieved his success.

We chatted about various aspects of his success and then 5 minutes before the end of our conversation he hit us with the killer question, our very own EUREKA moment if you like!

It is a question we have since asked many of our own downline affiliates in various programmes and it nearly always gets the same stunned silent response.

How many real actual people have visited your website and looked at your Business?

As our new friend told us, You can put the leaflets out, buy the traffic, tell all your friends, but how many real actual people have looked at your website and at the actual opportunity properly.

Since that day we’ve had many affiliates in our downline who were on the verge of quitting turn to me when asked this question and say ‘To be honest I cant be 100% sure that any actual real people have visited my website and looked properly at my business’

We were now looking at our business very differently, we realized that the Business was still the great opportunity that had attracted us in the first place and it wasn’t about our ability at all.

We just had to get back to basics and realize that when you try to sell something online it has the exact same principles of selling something offline. If you have no customers to look at your product then you are simply not going to sell it.

You see we all get blinded by the so called gurus and the online science and terms, when in truth making a sale is making a sale whether it be online or offline and quite simply:

Yes we know its not rocket science but you would be amazed at how many of the 95% fail because they don’t understand or get their head around this very simple principle.

Since that day our total focus has been on getting customers, real interested customers to view our opportunities.

Since that day we have focused all our main efforts on generating real customers to visit our websites and look at our products.

We worked hard and made some very good income for a few years but still didn’t have the luxury of long days on the Golf course and still felt that we were maybe missing something.

It was at that point that we discovered Viral Marketing and the power of getting other people to build your list

The truth is that we discovered this by accident, we had some new software and a one off sales event to promote and very little time to promote it. With the help of our new software we introduced a viral aspect to our sales pitch and in a few short days we had our best sales weekend ever and built a list of over 10,000 prospects with the help of a great FREE offer.

The real strength of any viral marketing comes in making sure you have an offer that people want to tell others about, only if the offer is strong enough will you ever get other people to inadvertently help you build your list.
